Container of 127 Giant electric bikes emptied on A12

A container of 127 Giant electric bikes has been stolen this morning, with thieves cutting through the container locks and offloading the full load onto another vehicle.

Taken from the A12, the freight container was full of 2022 models, including:

  • Reign E+ 0 MX Pro in Phantom green & Black – size large
  • Reign E+ 2 MX Pro in Black Diamond & Black – size extra large
  • FastRoad E+ EX Pro in Black – size large
  • Talon E+ 29er Sport in Graphite – size large and extra-large
  • Talon E+ Sport in Graphite – size large

Retailers and consumers impacted by this case will be contacted directly by the brand shortly. Frame numbers for the stolen Giant electric bikes will also be provided to accounts.

Ian Beasant, Managing Director from Giant UK, commented: “We ask for our retailers and the cycling community to be wary of these goods circulating in the market”.

Anyone with information is asked to please contact the Giant team on 0800 015 9110, or email sales@giant-bicycles.co.uk

Organised crime associated with the bike business has seemingly been on the rise lately in the face of widely reported shortages. Earlier this month a haul of Shimano components destined for the Czech Republic’s largest bike maker was stolen on route. The haul would have been enough to complete ten thousand complete bikes.
